Equine massage therapy is a term that describes a combination of strokes using the hands to stimulate or soothe soft tissues of the body.

Massage works by kneading and stroking muscles to relax them, and uses friction to stimulate soft tissue. This therapy can increase blood and lymph circulation while breaking up scar tissue between muscle fibers.

A horse's body is 60% muscle, so relieving pain associated with the musculo-skeletal system is very important to their well-being. Horses experience some of the same chronic ailments that humans do, so by relieving muscular pain, you can enjoy a healthy, fit and happy animal.
